Those of us who are invested in the Dallas Design District and the little chunk of real estate it occupies just west of I-35 have been witnessing a transformation over the last several years.

From the addition of everything from bowling alleys and breweries to the continued resurgence of the modern design industry, the Design District has truly become an integral piece of the Dallas city fabric, cultivating an established culture and ethos that is uniquely its own. We think of the growth of the last few years as an organic evolution, as opposed to a distinct change. The pieces were set in place but it it is the business owners and residents who have moved in by the hundreds, that have provided the impetus to drive the addition of vital services such as fitness studios, restaurants and salons, which are now making the Design District a true neighborhood.

The life and community that is fast taking hold is something many of us have been working hard to create, and watching the eclectic area come into its own ensures this piece of the city will last long enough for at least another generation to enjoy.
